The hard work has finished and we have completed your brand new loft conversion, now it's time for you to decorate it. With newly plastered walls and ceilings, a lick of paint is essential. White is always a popular colour for a loft conversion, particularly if you've had Velux windows installed as the natural light and the white paint combined provides a light room radiating calming, positive vibes throughout.

Carpets or flooring should also be kept light colours to keep the spacious feel in the room. Any darker coloured carpets or flooring would make the room feel smaller. Injecting colour into the room can be done via accessories; for example, if the room is being used as a bedroom, inject colour through cushions and throws on the bed.

Adding blinds to your velux windows will be the best way to block out the light at night. A blackout blind would keep the room completely dark during daylight times, ideal for the weekends when your enjoying not waking up to an alarm. But they can also be opened to reveal the natural light.
